Description: Your students will love lifting the flaps to find the right tools. This book targets functional vocabulary, MLU, yes/no questions, and more! It has two interactive elements to keep your students engaged! (slide-able flaps, move-able picture symbols, and move-able tool pieces). Read the book to the student. At the top of each page, the student is prompted to look in the toolbox to see if they can find the hammer. The student is then prompted to slide the toolbox and look. They will then answer yes/no (verbally or and tapping/clicking to the symbol). The student then will match the picture symbols to the box in the phrase and verbalize the phrase (“I found a _____”). Tapping the boxes as they say it (model when appropriate) encourages verbalization! I encourage verbalization throughout the whole activity.
