Description: Be a hero in the battle for survival in Swamp Chomp! The alligators are hungry...and they are on the hunt for delicious turtle eggs! Your students will save the turtles by correctly building major key signatures up to 5 sharps, and hiding the eggs so that they can hatch safely. To win the game students must build key signatures in both bass and treble clefs. Correct answers will earn them rescued turtle eggs, and incorrect answers will lose a life. Bonus lives are provided at strategic points to prolong game play. The game ends when ten eggs are collected, or three lives are lost, whichever comes first. There are several paths through the questions, depending on correct/wrong answers. Audio instructions are provided on each card. Alt-text is available for audio and images. Due to the drag and drop features this deck is not suitable for students needing motor accommodations. This is a "flow magic" game. Questions are presented in a set order and cannot be randomized. Cards should not be hidden, as this will prevent the deck from functioning properly. Pairs well with early intermediate piano and instrumental methods and RCM Levels 4-5.
