It's common for students to confuse lowercase b and d in the early primary grades (or beyond if they learn differently). The first 4 cards in this deck contain information only. Card 1 shows how students can think of a bed. Card 2 shows how they can make fists to remind them of what a b and d look like. Card 3 shows a book and says, "B is for /b/ /b/ book." Card 4 shows a duck and says, "D is for /d/ /d/ duck." Cards 5-8 are multiple choice using the fists and book and duck images as cues. Card 9 has a b/d drag and drop sort. Cards 10-18 have simple CVC words - students will drag a letter b or d to the first or last box to complete the word. Cards 19 and 20 instruct students to type the lowercase letter b or d. This deck can be played whole group on an interactive white board OR can be played on an individual, as needed basis.
