Students will have to determine that if a fraction is less than 1, then the product will be less than the whole number being multiplied by the fraction. If the fraction is greater (improper) than 1, then the product will be larger than the whole number. And if the fraction is equal to one, then the answer will be equal to the whole number being multiplied.
