Description: Understanding Word Connections: Is it an Antonym or Synonym? is a vocabulary building activity intended to improve word awareness and strengthen semantic networks. The cards target the word relationship of words that are antonyms and synonyms. They encourage students to think carefully about the meaning of each word and to decide how they are related to one another. Students read more than 30 word pairs and decide whether they have the opposite meaning or if they have the same meaning. They then put the appropriate letter in the designated box in order to solve each riddle!
