Description
Need a cute Valentine's Day literacy center or distance learning activity? In this 20 card Valentine's deck, the student reads or listens to the word and counts the correct number of syllables. Audio directions and reading of each word are provided. I did not make the audio play automatically so students could also practice decoding the words. Words: heart, cupid, love, cupcake, chocolate, donut, pig, penguin, valentine, owl, lollipop, cocoa, roses, broken, candy, flower, letter, friendship, mailbox, balloon CCSS.ELA-LITERACY.RF.K.2.B Count, pronounce, blend, and segment syllables in spoken words. CCSS RF1.3D Use knowledge that every syllable must have a vowel sound to determine the number of syllables in a printed word.
