Do your first or second grade students need to practice simple fractions? This Boom Cards™ deck is a fun way for your students to practice basic fraction knowledge in a game format. It provides practice in the identification of fractions with one part shaded and more than one part shaded! All fraction practice utilizes fractions with denominators 2-8 and numerators 1-7. Each card is self correcting. In addition, this deck includes a brief lesson to review basic fraction knowledge. The simplified lesson explains that the bottom number of a fraction is the number of parts a shape is divided into and the top number of a fraction is the number of parts that are shaded. Examples are given to aid in understanding. Lastly, four escape-room-like activities are interspersed as "brain breaks." These four activities include a matching activity, a hidden picture activity, and two find-the-hidden-objects-and-build-a-snowman activities.
