Description
“In the Doghouse” is a rhythm reading activity for young children. The doghouses represent the steady beat. Quarter note or “ta” beats are notated by placing a dog into the doghouse. Eighth note or “titi” beats are notated with puppies. Empty doghouses represent the rests. Each card in this deck plays a simple 4-beat rhythm using quarter notes, eighth notes and quarter rests. Students slide the dogs and puppies into the doghouses to match the rhythm. This set includes a direction card, one completed example and 25 different game cards. Level 1 & 2 “In the Doghouse” games are also available.
