Description: These 25 Task Cards will allow your students to practice this short vowel sounds in the medial position. Your students will decide if the picture/word has or does not have this sound in the middle. Student will select a thumbs up to answer yes and thumbs down for no. All directions and picture words are read to the student if student clicks on the speaker icon to do so. This task is aligned to The Common Core and will support any phonics program or instruction you incorporate in your classroom including Orton Gillingham or Recipe for Reading.
