Description: This is a 28-card Scavenger Hunt that covers that cover interesting facts about Mercury. Using this hunt students will learn what its surface is like, how long a day is on the planet, how its size compares to other planets in the solar system, and more. To complete the hunt, students are presented with 13 statements. After they read a statement, they read a passage to determine if it is true or false. If they choose the correct answer, they will advance to the next statement. If they choose the wrong answer, they can return to the passage to see what they missed. The final card in the deck requires students to write 3 interesting things they learned about Mercury. It can be used to supplement a study of the solar system, a science activity, to build background for a reading lesson, practice for reading informational text, a center, or as an easy lesson for a sub.
