Description
This 28-card scavenger hunt will teach your students interesting facts about the planet Mercury While completing this hunt, students will learn what Mercury's surface is like, how long a day is on the planet, how its size compares to other planets in the solar system, and more. To complete the hunt, students are presented with 13 statements. After they read a statement, they read a passage to determine if it is true or false. If they choose the correct answer, they will advance to the next statement. If they choose the wrong answer, they can return to the passage to see what they missed. As students progress through the scavenger hunt a picture of Mercury next to the Sun is revealed. The final card in the deck requires students to write 3 interesting things they learned about Venus. It can be used to supplement a study of the solar system, a science activity, to build background for a reading lesson, practice for reading informational text, a center, or as an easy lesson for a sub.
