Practice naming the irregular past tense form of present tense verbs while searching for the pots of gold. Little Limerick is a leprechaun-in-training, but he's awfully forgetful. Limerick has misplaced all the pots of gold. Help him find them before Boss Leprechaun does. Boss Leprechaun is very strict. His rule is "three strikes and you're out." Directions: The student's goal is to find the missing pots of gold before uncovering the image of Boss Leprechaun. The student names the irregular past tense form of the verb given (or formulates a sentence) and then drags the image to the discard pile (the empty pot). Limerick gets several chances, but if you uncover Boss Leprechaun 3 times, then Limerick's dreams of becoming a leprechaun are dashed. No worries, though. Just play again for another chance. If you uncover a shamrock, keep going until the pot of gold or Boss Leprechaun are revealed. The SLP/parent/adult keeps track of how many times Boss Leprechaun is uncovered. If the student makes it to the final slide without finding Boss 3 times, then Limerick will realize his dream! Good luck!!!
