Description
Prefixes are an important part of reading, writing, vocabulary, and word study. Teachers can use these prefix activities in conjunction with their Greek and Latin stems and roots instruction. This prefixes deck includes: 41 task cards (5 anchor charts cards with prefixes, their meanings, and example words listed and 36 prefix task cards). • Task cards 1-5 are instructional cards with prefix charts that include the prefix, their meaning, and example words. • Task cards 6-17 are drag and drop questions where your students drag the correct word (with a prefix) into the blank. • Task Cards 18-29 are multiple choice questions where your students pick the prefix that would go in front of the underlined word in the sentence. • Task Cards 30-41 are multiple choice questions that state a definition of a word and your students choose the correct word that matches that definition. They base this off the base word and prefix.
