Introduce students to the letter Rr with the following letter and sound recognition activities: Cards 2-4: Students click on the picture to hear the word. All pictures are included in the different activities throughout the deck. Pictures include (15 total): rocket, robot, roller coaster, rain, road, ring, radish, ruler, rainbow, raccoon, recycle, rabbit, raspberry, radio & rectangle. Cards 5-12: Find the letter Rr from a field of 4. Cards 13-15: Find the scattered R's. Cards 16-34: Click on the picture that begins with the /r/ sound. All cards in this deck include audio to support independent learning and repeated practice. The following skills are addressed in this deck: visual discrimination, phonemic awareness (letter sound identification) & letter recognition.
