These cards support the Words Their Way Spelling Program sorts. This deck supports the Blue Book, Word Sorts for Derivational Relations Spellers 3rd Edition. It covers learning and practicing the rules, building the word in sounds and sorting the words into their rules as well as looking at the exceptions. This deck covers the spellings for adding the suffix -ity with a vowel alternation from schwa to short for sort 23. Cards include fill in the blank and drag and drop. Students write the word, break it down into the sounds, and sort them into the rules/patterns.
