Description: "The Recess Queen" by Alexis O'Neill is the perfect story for teaching bullying prevention, kindness, social skills, and classroom expectations! In this deck of 27 cards, students first review the story and learn 6 ways to be a Recess Friend. Next, they play a sorting game with 24 scenarios that helps them learn the difference between a Recess Queen choice and a Recess Friend choice. Students read the scenario and if it represents a Recess Friend choice they click on the Recess Friend Jean image, and if it represents a Recess Queen choice, they click on the Recess Queen Jean image. This deck is great for SEL, counseling, and teaching playground expectations!
