Description: These 36 task cards are differentiated and cover unit price. Students are asked to calculate unit prices given a larger ratio. For example, calculating the total price for carrots given the price per pound and how many pounds are purchased. Cards 5-12 have a purple background and are the easiest. Students are asked to calculate a total price given the unit price of something and how much of that something is purchased. Questions are both multiple choice with 3 answer choices and fill in the blank. Cards 17-24 have a yellow background and are a little more difficult. Students are asked to calculate the unit rate of something based on the amount of that something they purchased and how much the total cost was. Questions are both multiple choice with 3 answer choices and fill in the blank. Cards 31-36 have a blue background and are the most challenging. Students are asked to find both the total price and unit price of different transactions. Questions are asked in both question form and word problem form, and answers are fill in the blank. There are also 14 cards with a grey background with definitions and examples. These cards are aligned to the common core 6.RP.A.3b, 7.RP.A.1, 7.RP.A.3.
