Use these Revising Sentences cards to practice revising sentences by replacing common verbs with stronger verbs. Each card contains a common verb and it used in two sentences. Students need to choose an appropriate stronger verb from the 10 options they are given, to replace the common verb in each sentence. When using these decks one-on-one, you could further the learning by discussing other verb options and why the chosen verb is more suited for the sentence.
