These 33 cards cover the skill of identifying similes, metaphors and hyperbole. Students are given a figurative language phrase and they have to guess what the figurative phrase means. The cards prompt the kids to talk about what kind of figurative language is being presented but it’s just for discussion purposes only for this particular deck. This deck also includes three teaching cards which defines and gives examples of a simile, metaphor and hyperbole. Answers are in a multiple-choice format.
