Description: This useful pack of dot cards will help children practice subitizing - being able to see a number without having to count the objects. Numbers includes from 1-10 picture in dots in regular formations and irregular. Use the irregular formations to ask how your students 'see' the number? Which is easier to subitize? Regular formations or irregular? Why? With larger amounts (above 6) do they subitize some dots and then count on? Again, use this as a teaching point and explain what they are doing and why (it's quicker to then count a larger number if you can subitize some). This pack is perfect for math centers/math stations, fast finisher activities, homework and review.
