Description: Do you work with a variety of AAC users who represent different access and language levels? It can be difficult to find a one size fits all resource for your AAC users, because AAC use requires different skills. The user has to master their access method (touch, switch, eyegaze, etc.) as well as learn the vocabulary. That is why I created this leveled AAC resource that addresses both access and language learning via high-frequency core words. You will be able to address the different ability levels of your AAC learners through the following core word games: Level 1: This level addresses your emergent communicators. Players will learn a single core word at a time, and practice their access method through a cause and effect style game. Level 2: This level addresses your context-dependent communicators. Players will work on two word utterances. They get to practice saying the core word they learned in level one and learn a new word. They get to improve control of their access method by moving objects to the correct location. Level 3: This level addresses your independent communicators. Players will say the target word independently on their device to direct the communication partner. They will listen for sound cues, and demonstrate control of their access method by moving objects to the correct location.
