Description: This interactive no-prep activity is an engaging way to help your students build a variety of receptive and expressive language skills using vocabulary from the book The Napping House. This activity helps students following 1-step directions with the core word OPEN, and label common nouns. Students are asked to follow 1-step directions with the core word OPEN. In each house, there is a different character from the book the Napping House. Students are given visual sentence starters to answer WHO questions while increasing MLU! This is great for speech therapy, teletherapy, or even in person therapy! This activity includes: - Activities for increasing MLU, answering WH questions, building vocabulary, using the core word OPEN and labeling nouns! - Multiple repetitions to practice the core word OPEN Students are presented with the following vocabulary from the book The Napping House: - Old lady - Child - Dog - Mouse - Flea - Cat The following IEP goals can be targeted during the activity: - Labeling vocabulary - Core Word OPEN - Following 1-step directions - Answering WH questions (e.g. ask students what do you see, what color is it, where is he sleeping, etc.) - Describing (e.g. colors, attributes, etc.)
