Description: FREE version! Digital file folder game with 12 common professions. See below for tips! This is a picture-to-picture match with written labels to support development of whole-word reading comprehension, print awareness, or to prompt verbal labeling and association for hyperlexic children with vocabulary deficits. Options for therapy include: -Stack the movable cards and go through them one by one -Allow children to move them around and explore -Make smaller groups and talk about subcategories (e.g. people who work in a restaurant, people who learn about space, people who help, etc). -Make your own small pieces of paper and write the words on them. Pull them out of a hat/box until the child gets three-in-a-row. -Use the digital teaching tools: an arrow or the blue highlighter paper (see the edge of the paper off to the right side of the card). These can be used to emphasize pictures to help children who might be overwhelmed by the visual information. -Have children name the jobs (with a model if they are learning them for the first time) before matching. ***Verbally in any language or with AAC or ASL. -Play "What am I describing?" then match after guess -Have a child use the Expanding Expression Tool to describe jobs -Choose phrase with articulation target, e.g. if working on "r" create a carrier phrase such as "Right there." or "Move it really fast/really slow" or "A ____ works hard."
