This 31-card scavenger hunt that will teach your students interesting facts about weather and some of the interesting conditions it creates. While completing the hunt, students will learn the difference between weather and climate, common instruments used to measure and predict the weather, why there is such a wide variety of temperatures on Earth, some interesting weather events that have occurred, and more. To complete the hunt, students answer 15 multiple choice questions. First, they read a question and its answer choices. Then they read a short passage where the answer is found. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. This is a great supplement to add to a study of weather, to provide background information for a story, to have students practice reading informational text, for a reading/science center, or as an easy lesson for a sub.
