Pre-teach tier II vocabulary needed for baking cookies and give them additional engagements with the words on various activities. You can then work on sequencing skills with students to sequence the steps for baking cookies with 3-pictures, 4-pictures, and 6-pictures. Students will be able to sort the pictures into the correct order and then practice acting out the verbs while watching YouTube videos for how to bake cookies (there are three versions.) You will have all the visual supports to help your students with expressively retelling how to bake cookies.
