What is democracy? 44 slides that introduce and describe democratic vocabulary for students that may be labeled as having an Intellectual Disability or for students that need repetition and reinforcement. There are 5 vocabulary words practiced and reviewed in this deck: community, government, democracy, vote, election. Each word is introduced slowly, simply, repetitively, and is reinforced with pictures as well as audio. Each card is read to the student. This deck can be used on its own with NO PREP from teachers on what democracy is. Further, it is designed to be used more than once for practice and remembering. It is specifically made with non-readers in mind and students that may need a lot of visual and audio repetition.
