Description: This deck can be used for teaching the story elements in the story grammar approach for oral narrative generation as well as story comprehension and many other language aims. The story grammar framework: characters, place, feelings/emotion, problem, idea/plan, solution and ending. This deck uses the story grammar approach for story comprehension as well as developing the general awareness of these story grammar elements. Read the story with the child and then move on to the “comprehension questions”. Each question makes reference to one of the story grammar elements. There is also a sequencing and retell card.
