Description: Decodables are a great way to build student confidence in reading. This decodable story focuses on the FLOSS Rule with words that end in -ll and some sight words. The first slide contains -ll words and sight words that appear in the text. Words are considered sight words if the phonics skill has not yet been taught, or if the word does not follow a set phonics skill. FLOSS Rule- f, l, s, and z double at the end of a closed syllable word with a short vowel. This decodable story comes after my short vowel stories and digraphs. This can be read individually, with a partner, or, with a teacher.
