Description: This is a 33-card Books & Authors Scavenger Hunt that will teach students about books and some of the authors who wrote them. During the hunt, students will learn what children's book has sold over 40 million copies, what the best-selling book of all time is, where the word "bookworm" originated, and more. To complete the hunt, students are presented with a question with some possible answers. Then they read a passage where the information can be found. They receive instant feedback on whether or not they chose the correct answer. The final card int he deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. It is a good activity for a reading center, Read Across America week, libraries or could also be used as an easy lesson for a sub.
