6-9 Math Warm-ups Week 1

Description: 4 problems per day: 2 audio (mental math) problems, one algebra puzzle, and one area puzzle When assigning these cards, simply have the students click on the correct day of the week and the cards will walk them through the 4 problems assigned for the warm-up that day only. When the student has completed that day's warm up, he/she will be directed to a congratulatory card to let them know they have completed the warm up. Absent students can always login and complete any day they may have missed. No need to deal with hiding and un-hiding cards. Students will not be allowed to move forward from a card until they have discovered the correct answer. Headphones are needed for this deck as two of the questions require listening skills and mental math skills. The first two problems each day are audio problems - one easy, one challenging. The easy problems have basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division computations. The challenging problems include square roots, squared numbers, more steps, and larger numbers. These warm ups would be good to assign to all of your students, but if you needed to review basic skills with some of your students, you could always assign these self-grading cards to your students who could benefit from a challenge.
