Description
Students can practice listening and spelling sight words. Each card shows a taco with missing letters in Grade 3 common sight words. They vary from short vowels, digraphs to vowel teams. The player listens to each word and then tap one of the multiple-choice answers. Next, type the missing letters in the blank space. Press the ‘Submit’ button to give your answer. If you are correct, you will hear a bell sound, and the deck will advance to the next card. If incorrect, you will hear a whoop sound, and you can try again until the deck accepts your answer. It will then advance to the next card. The deck is randomized. So each time you play the deck the cards will be in a different order. 41 sight words: about, better, bring, carry, clean, cut, done, draw, drink, eight, fall, far, full, got, grow, hold, hot, hurt, if, keep, kind, laugh, light, long, much, myself, never, only, own, pick, seven, shall, show, six, small, start, ten, today, together, try, and warm. Benefits of game: • Practice listening to and spelling sight words; • Helps with fluency reading; and • Increase vocabulary for reading and writing.
