This deck was designed to provide meaningful phonology practice for children exhibiting cluster reduction, specifically with /s/ blends. Students produce words with /s/ blends in order to provide a solution to a problem presented in the deck. Minimal pair words with pictures help children learn that the phonemes they use matter, as using the incorrect phoneme actually changes the meaning of a word! This deck includes situations with 16 minimal pairs.
