Students learn and apply their new understanding of prefixes re-, un-, in-, dis- and suffixes -er, -est, -ed, -ing, -less, -ful, -es and -s in this game. This game is for beginning to intermediate English language learners (ELL, E.S.O.L., ENL, etc.) and reviews prefixes from the kindergarten to beginning fourth grade level. This has been used with adults and older children who are learning English as well as elementary students. This is written in simple text and is great for online tutors and teachers, homeschool parents, or for whole class presentations. It is also excellent as remediation and/or review work with small groups, partners, and individuals. Students can and have successfully used this game completely independent. This resource has helped various students to comprehend the meanings or definitions of the affixes and understand how to apply them in common ways appropriately.
