Description: Tattling is a Basic social skills activity for your students. The concept of telling versus tattling (reporting or tattling) is hard for many of our students and also addresses the social filter. In these Social Skills activities for kids, teens will work on knowing when to speak up and when to manage impulses through their Social filter. This activity includes 21 multiple-choice scenarios that require students to decide if it is, or isn’t appropriate to report an infraction. Six instructional slides/cards guide them through the process of understanding the difference between reporting and “minding their own business.” An important life skills for any social skills curriculum. This lesson is best used with students aged 6-10 because of the scenarios discussed. When I use this lesson with my speech class, it takes 45 minutes to complete with a discussion in between each card. This is a needed topic in any social skills program. Follow me for more lessons in Social skills. As always, my resources are 50% off for the first 24 hours. *This lesson is also included in my Social Skills Bundle at a reduced cost to you!
