Description: Work on safety awareness skills and problem solving in emergency situations. Each category contains a lesson in itself. Possible Goals Include: -Describe scenes (Wow, the tornado in the sky is skinny and tall. It looks gray and white...) -Identify the emergency (What makes this scene an emergency?) -Problem solve (You are not at home when you hear the tornado siren, what should you do?) -Describe past experiences (I heard the tornado sirens once!) -Answer yes/no questions (Do you think this will keep you safe?) -Answer wh questions (Where should you go if there is a tornado?) -Emotions (How would this make you feel?) This deck targets environmental emergencies such as: tornados, lightening, floods, earthquake, etc. Each area contains a definition or safety statement, 4-6 clickable questions, a fact sheet, and an extra picture to prompt further conversations or questions.
