From an occupational therapy perspective, this A–Z word deck is intentionally designed to strengthen foundational visual and motor skills that support reading and written expression. Each card presents a single word with a moving arrow that guides the student’s eyes from left to right, promoting visual tracking, directional awareness, and proper scanning patterns necessary for fluent reading. Students type the word after decoding it, reinforcing visual–motor integration, letter sequencing, motor planning, and spelling accuracy. Immediate visual feedback is provided through a real-life image of the word, increasing motivation and supporting visual association and memory. Drawing tools are available on the image card to encourage fine motor practice, bilateral coordination (if using a stylus), and creative engagement; however, use of the tools is optional to respect sensory preferences and attention span. Students may advance without coloring to maintain regulation and task flow. The clean, visually friendly layout reduces cognitive overload and supports figure–ground processing, attention, and sustained focus. Completing all A–Z words builds endurance, task persistence, and confidence while embedding playful animated puns to maintain engagement. This deck is ideal for addressing visual tracking, left-to-right orientation, visual discrimination, sequencing, executive functioning, and keyboarding skills within both therapy sessions and classroom literacy centers.
