Description
This is a pack of 30 boom cards providing social scenarios and situations where students must understand detect indirect language. Understanding indirect language can be very challenging for some students, e.g. "Do you have the time?" may be responded with "yes" with no follow up! Some students do not pick up on what others are politely saying indirectly. This resource is created to help students learn what indirect language is, and practice understanding and recognising it in social contexts. Regular education teachers, special education teachers, SLPs, or other support professionals could all benefit from using these task cards with their students. These cards are specifically designed for elementary aged students (Grades 2-5).
