This deck contains both articulation and language activities. It covers articulation of 12 sounds across all word positions. The targeted sounds include: /k/, /g/, /f/, /v/, /s/, /z/, /sh/, /ch/, /l/, s blends (st, sk, sn), r (blends, prevocalic, and vocalic), and /th/. This 2-player game contains movable apple tree parts (roots, trunk, branches, leaves, apples) and articulation cards. Be the first to build your apple tree with all 10 apples! Each slide contains two card decks—one for each player. There are 14 cards total in each player’s deck. The cards contain instructions to build the tree, and an articulation image/word. Students will follow the instructions on each card as they build their apple trees. Ask the student to practice the listed word/sound, fading cuing as needed. There are two special “apple fly” cards per deck. The purple apple fly card requires students to put one piece back; the green apply fly allows students to select an extra piece. One open-ended card game is included. The language activities all relate to teaching the parts of an apple tree and consist of the following: vocabulary board with definitions of the tree parts; a word-picture matching game; a fill-in-the blank definition task (with word a word bank); a "build an apple tree" requesting/commenting activity with core vocabulary visual supports; and a "create-a-scene" apple orchard activity.
