Frisbee in the Park When presented with a story, students may have difficulty retelling a story because they need to be able to break the story down into relevant details. In this activity, students read/listen to a story and will: • identify key facts • recognize less important facts • ask and answer questions • make predictions about the story • define vocabulary and inferred language • explain idioms Finally, the students will create a summary statement about the story and end with retelling the story using only five key details.
