Description: This is the original Detective Dan Deck and he needs your help! Use his famous Night Vision Lens to find the clues in that will lead you to the missing backpack. This fun activity is divided into 3 identical “searches” (one for each target phoneme: /s, r, l/ in mixed positions and initial blends). PLUS each “card” has LANGUAGE-BASED components included (e.g., categories, associations, concepts, phonological awareness). Instructions: 1. Use the night vision lens to see the note about the clue in Detective Dan’s briefcase. 2. Practice your target words while “searching” for the note. 3. Use the lens to find the actual clue 4. After finding all the clues you will be directed to discover what was in the backpack. This page can be stand-alone and has a direct link from the home page. *The Night Vision Lens will not display the object if you continue to depress the mouse or maintain finger pressure. You will need to “let go” of the lens for the object to appear. 96 cards altogether (33 cards per “search”)
