Description

Help AAC users and verbal communicators practice simple yes/no questions with this deck featuring 30 slides. Students look out a window and decide whether the animal they see belongs in a tree. 📷 Does this belong in a tree—yes or no? This deck includes 15 animals that do NOT belong in trees and 15 birds that DO belong in trees. The clear contrast supports early decision-making while keeping the task predictable and accessible. In addition to yes/no responses, this deck can also be used to model or elicit 1–3 word utterances, such as: “Lion.” “See lion.” “Lion in tree.” Students may also add simple descriptive words like “silly” or “weird” to encourage commenting and engagement. Designed for AAC use, core boards, and verbal expression. Supports yes/no responses, single words, 1–3 word utterances, sentence-building, and giving descriptions. How to Use: -Ask simple questions (“Does this belong in a tree?”) -Respond using YES/NO verbally, on-screen, or via AAC -Model or produce 1–3 word utterances -Add descriptors (“silly,” “weird”) to expand language Use interactively on for yes/no responses or with AAC devices to model and practice yes/no questions. Instructors may choose to use one or both methods to support AAC use and expressive language.
