Functional Communication ! Requesting ! Commenting ! Core Words ! This resource was created to support students with goals in functional communication. Students will work on formulating 2-3 word utterances with target phrases "put on", "want + object", "I + want + object", "I + see + object". Movable sentence strips are provided for each "build a --". In addition, students will practice basic receptive identification of the objects with fun animated gifs. 100 Cards!!! This resource allows you to work on labeling/ receptive id, requesting, commenting, and expanding utterance length. Students will choose what to build (e.g. witch, monster, butterfly, snowman, superhero, etc.) while formulating 2-3 word requests. Students will make choices and requests as you build the item together. The adult will also be able to reveal the objects and work on formulation of basic comments. Visual sentence strips and picture symbols are provided. Attention grabbing with the animation component. A super fun way to work on early functional communication skills with your students!
