Description: This deck is helpful for young children who need to be aware of dangers that surround them while they are playing. Children my not be aware of things that could hurt them during games such as hide and seek. Making sure they know about hidden dangers is key to keeping them safe. This deck uses actual pictures and real world hiding spots while asking students in elementary grades and those in special education if the hiding spot is safe or not. This will give adults and teachers a great opportunity to discuss why some spots could be dangerous even though they may not appear to be so to young eyes. This deck has 20 different situations, one on each card. There are 10 safe hiding spots and 10 unsafe hiding spots. Some of the hiding spots include: a trunk in a bedroom a storm drain a refrigerator out for trash under a blanket on the sofa behind a big tree in a pile of leaves in the yard in a car on a hot day
