When choosing our behavior, it is important to understand context. For example: you can tell your best friend math class is boring, but if you told your teacher math class is boring, things may take a more negative turn. This activity presents the individual with multiple scenarios. Along with each scenario will be several context options (ie. WHERE could the behavior take place, WHO could be present). Use the context options to discuss which would be most appropriate for the behavior to occur, and which would be least appropriate. Have the client relate some of the cards to their own behavior for further understanding and generalization. NOTE: Not all of the behaviors presented will be "appropriate". For example, one of the cards discusses how an individual protests at her brother and storms off. We are not concerned with if the behavior is "good" or "bad". We are simply concerned with where would it be the most acceptable.
