Description: This deck contains 3 sections to teach, practice, and assess student understanding of common phrases and basic 1-step directions in the school environment. I created this to use in auditory training with Deaf & Hard of Students utilizing hearing aids or cochlear implants and developing listening & spoken language. However, this could also be used in a variety of early childhood and special education settings to support receptive language skills! The 3 sections are: 1. Teach the common phrases: 12 pictures with audio for each of the phrases used in this deck. 2. Identify the phrases from a set of 4: Click the sound symbol to play the phrase. Student will click on the corresponding picture. 3. Picture scenes: Click the sound symbol to play the phrase. Student will find the characters in the scene who are demonstrating the phrase (e.g., the boy waving matches "good morning!" The common phrases used in this deck are: 1. Good morning! 2. Thank you! 3. Turn off the light. 4. Wash your hands. 5. Line up. 6. Can you help me please? 7. Time for lunch. 8. Throw it away. 9. Clean up! 10. Uh oh, it's broken! 11. Time to pack up. 12. Bye bye!
