Description
This deck relates to listening, reading and finding first sight words or common grade 1 high frequency words. Each card shows bunny rabbits displaying sight words. The task is to listen to each word and then find and tap/click the correct one. Next, the player should type the word in the fill-in-the-blank box. Press the ‘Submit’ button to give your answer. If the correct word is found and typed, you will hear a bell sound and the deck will advance to the next card. If an incorrect word is selected and incorrectly typed, you will hear a whoops sound and you can try again until the deck advances to the next card. The cards are randomized – each time you play the deck the cards will be in a different order. 41 sight words: after, again, an, any, as, ask, by, could, every, fly from, give, going, had, has her, him, his, how, just, know, let, live, may, of, old, once, open, over, put, round, some, stop, take thank, them, then, think, walk, were, and when. If you do not want your students to play all the cards, there is a function in BOOM where you can hide cards you do not want your students to play. When you purchase a deck: 1. Go to your library and find the deck you bought. 2. Click on Action and you will see a dropdown menu. 3. Scroll down to Hide Cards. 4. When you click on a card it will turn gray/grey, meaning it is hidden from your students. Benefits: • Practice listening to and reading sight words • Helps with fluency reading
