Description: Do your older students need practice with consonant digraphs (ch, sh, th, wh) but don't want babyish activities? This deck provides phonics and spelling practice but is appropriate for older students and adults. The drag & spell tiles mimic those used in many Orton-Gillingham programs, and they're great for building both phonics knowledge and phonemic awareness. Real pictures ensure that the activity doesn't seem too young for older students. How it Works: Students see a picture and click to hear the word pronounced. Then they drag letter tiles into boxes to spell the word. Good to Know: • All the words contain consonant digraphs (ch, sh, wh, and both voiced and unvoiced th). • Words may include both initial and/or final digraphs (e.g., ship and wish). • All words are one-syllable with short vowel sounds ONLY, and they all contain three phonemes. If your students are ready for consonant blends (including words with both blends and digraphs), you may want to consider my Consonant Blends Drag & Spell deck for older students.
