This 41-card scavenger hunt that will teach your students interesting facts about one of Earth's devastating natural disasters - wildfires. While completing the hunt, students will learn how most wildfires start, different types of wildfire, how wildfires are beneficial to Earth, and more. To complete the hunt, students answer 20 multiple choice questions. First, they read a question and its answer choices. Then they read a short passage where the answer is found. The final card in the deck challenges students to write 3 interesting things they learned from the hunt. This is a great supplement to add to a study of natural disasters, to provide background information for a story, to have students practice reading informational text, for a reading/science center, or as an easy activity for a sub.
