Description: 4 Icebreaker getting to know you games for back to school or as a Classbuilder anytime! Grades 4-8. Get students talking & interacting with each other and you. All 4 games are engaging, fun, and perfect for distance learning. The 4 games are: Answer & Ask, Scavenger Hunt (they actually have to find the items in their house using clues), Dicebreakers, and Would You Rather. Having 4 game choices allows you to use this resource with multiple grades, ability levels, and adds variety if you teach multiple preps or the same students 2 years in a row! Answer & Ask: Gets students interacting with each other. Students pick a question to answer, then ask another student a question. Scavenger Hunt: Gets students up and moving. Read riddle / description of objects to students (there are 20 household items that everyone has). Students have 30 seconds to run and find the item & bring it back to show the class. You can modify the amount of time they have to find the item, just reinforce it to them, as the written directive in the game says 30 seconds. Most appropriate for 4th - 6th grades. Dicebreakers: Roll die for each student. Students answer the question that corresponds with the number on the die. Use physical dice or online dice (search “digital dice”), OR write numbers 1-6 on paper and randomly choose out of a hat for each student. Would You Rather: Call on each student to answer a question (there are 24). Students are given 2 choices of what they would rather do.
