Prior to this activity, students should have learned basic characteristics of quadratics, including vocabulary, domain and range of a quadratic, how to determine the axis of symmetry and the vertex, and how to find the solutions of a quadratic function using the zero product property. Only three cards require the student to factor the quadratic, then determine the roots (factoring required: GCF, Difference of Squares, Basic Trinomial).
