Description: These Boom Cards™ will help your students with solving addition word problems to 20 in this 32 card deck. Sixteen problems (cards) have sums to 10 and sixteen problems (cards) have sums to 20. If students are not ready for addition to 20, you can assign different groups of students different sets of cards by HIDING the cards that are too difficult. These cards do NOT have audio. The story, questions, and choices are NOT read aloud to the student. This deck can also be used as a whole class activity with the teacher showing the cards on the board and solving the word problems together as the teacher reads the word problems to the students. This deck has 32 different word problems. There is only one word problem per card. The cards in this deck are randomized so that the word problems are in a different order each time they play this deck. Students will choose from four multiple choice number answers by selecting the correct answer to the word problem. Students can use counters in their classroom, paper to draw (act out) the story, or a number line in their classroom to solve each word problem. Correct answers are rewarded with a bell sound which automatically advances students to the next card. Incorrect answers hear “whoops” and students must keep trying until the correct answer is chosen. There are 32 cards in this deck of self-checking cards.
